I grew up in Upstate New York in a family that was centered around the gym. My father used to wake me up at 530 so that he could take me to get a workout in before high school. I used to run a lot. When I was in my early 20’s I was a distance runner that weighed about 145 pounds. I consider myself a true ectomorph with Arnold aspirations. When I was about 24, I decided that I wanted to get big, so I changed my fitness focus. I was able to put on and steadily keep 50 pounds of muscle.
I graduated in 2010 with a BS in Chemistry from the University of North Alabama. After realizing that I hated the job market and the carcinogenic chemicals that I was being exposed to I decided to turn to something I am passionate about -fitness! I became certified with NASM November 2017. I am also about to start writing the monthly fitness column for the local NOLA magazine Flame.
My career began as a collegiate Indoor volleyball and Beach Volleyball player. Upon graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, I began my journey in the field of collegiate strength and conditioning at Middle Tennessee State University. My desire to play at the collegiate level and learn under some of the best Strength Coaches around brought me far from the island of Puerto Rico, which I call home. I had the opportunity to work with an array of athlete’s at MTSU and the University Southern Mississippi. These experiences later on lead me to Tulane University and the wonderful city of New Orleans. Desiring to further expand my knowledge and experience in the field, I began personal training as I pursued my Master’s Degree in Kinesiology. I specialize in:
* Improving and/or restoring function through the use of manual therapy, corrective movement/postural alignment.
*Overall lifestyle improvement. I consider all aspects of the human body, regarding the system as a whole, in order to get to the root cause of the problem areas, issues, or injuries.
*Nutrtion Consultation and Mobile Body Composition Assessments.
*Weight Loss, Lean Muscle Gain, and Increased Energy
* Individualized workouts for clients that are tailored to meet the needs of each client.
*I address musculoskeletal imbalances, postural discrepancies, strength, as well as overall function and health. Utilizing a thorough evaluation process and assessing each patient’s health history, I design a highly detailed program that is tailored specifically to address the patient’s goals and disparities. Whether you’re a stay at home mom, a 9-5 desk worker, an athlete, an elder, or someone simply looking to enable a healthier lifestyle, I will serve as a beneficial solution to your needs.
