I grew up in Upstate New York in a family that was centered around the gym. My father used to wake me up at 530 so that he could take me to get a workout in before high school. I used to run a lot. When I was in my early 20’s I was a distance runner that weighed about 145 pounds. I consider myself a true ectomorph with Arnold aspirations. When I was about 24, I decided that I wanted to get big, so I changed my fitness focus. I was able to put on and steadily keep 50 pounds of muscle.
I graduated in 2010 with a BS in Chemistry from the University of North Alabama. After realizing that I hated the job market and the carcinogenic chemicals that I was being exposed to I decided to turn to something I am passionate about -fitness! I became certified with NASM November 2017. I am also about to start writing the monthly fitness column for the local NOLA magazine Flame.
